🇮🇱 Netanyahu puts potential strike on Iran on hold ahead of Israeli elections
Launching a preemptive strike against Iran ahead of Israel’s October 27 elections would be undesirable, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview on Israel's Army Radio, dismissing accusations that he wants another military confrontation to boost his political standing.
“Even if Iran fires missiles at us, they will blame me,” Netanyahu said, warning that Israel would respond forcefully to any attack.
However, he refused to rule out striking Iran after the elections and declined to discuss his recent talks with the US about a possible military operation.
