🚨🇮🇱 Israeli troops shoot, kill 22-year-old Palestinian at one of their illegal Syrian outposts
 
On Sunday night, IDF troops manning an outpost between the Syrian villages of Hader and Quneitra spotted a man approaching their base, machinegunning him to death on the spot using a high-powered MAG gun.
The man was identified as a 22-year-old Palestinian from Damascus carrying only a phone and money. The IDF said the man was killed after trying to climb an embankment into the outpost, but there has been no independent confirmation on this score.

👉 Israel moved into the area surrounding the villages after the disintegration of Assad’s government as part of ~350 sq. km in Syrian territory it’s seized since then. The occupation has been accompanied by the forced displacement of locals, the demolition and bulldozing of homes, and fears of looming Israeli settlement.

After spending more than a year trying to ink a peace deal with Tel Aviv, Syria’s government has finally begun to criticize Israel’s occupation of its territory. But with its army largely destroyed since 2024, and the remainder directed to target rebellious minorities, Damascus has little ability to do anything about it.
