Tonight’s archive drop: Justin Bieber records his vocals for the acoustic version of
Snooze.
The footage comes directly from Justin Bieber’s own account, where he shared behind-the-scenes moments from the studio session.
The session took place at Carter Lang’s home studio. The original version of
Snooze was released on December 9, 2022, as part of SZA’s album
SOS, which later earned a Grammy Award.
Then, on September 15, 2023, SZA released
Snooze (Acoustic) featuring Justin Bieber. This rendition brought a softer, more intimate tone to the track, with Justin recording new vocal parts alongside SZA.
The original version was produced by Babyface, Leon Thomas, Khris Riddick-Tynes, and BLK. The acoustic version was helmed by Carter Lang, who crafted a gentler arrangement tailored specifically for Justin Bieber and SZA.
In recent years, Carter Lang has become one of Justin Bieber’s key creative collaborators—best known, ironically, for his close work with SZA.
