Now we know where most of the new season’s budget for "Squid Game" went — Kate Blanchett appeared in footage from the final episode.

“Why Kate Blanchett? She’s simply the best, with unmatched charisma. Who doesn’t love her? We were thrilled to have her. We needed someone who could instantly command the screen with just a few words — and that’s exactly what she did,” shares director Hwang Dong-hyuk.

Rumors suggest David Fincher will soon begin filming the new season of the American adaptation, while Kate’s scene may be a hint to viewers about an upcoming shift in location and story. #SquidGame #Netflix #KateBlanchett
