🇬🇧When I lay aside who I am, I become who I might be...
When you learn to open your palm and let go of the weight of matter, the entire universe begins to flow through you...

Dragons, magical islands, gigantic snail shells, mysterious lakes, centaurs, and strange kinds of humanoids.

These are not scenes from a modern fantasy novel, but illuminations from an old manuscript created around 1485, Les secretz de l’histoire naturelle (The Secrets of Natural History), by the French illuminator Robert Testard.

The manuscript, now preserved in the French National Library under the designation Français 22971, represents a fascinating catalogue of what the medieval man recorded about the wonders of the natural world.

Although they appear to us today as fantasy, to the people of that time, these descriptions were part of their everyday reality.

🇬🇧To think of life not as a succession of days,
but of days as a succession of lives.
This means living intensely.

On July 28, 2026, drone pilot Alexander Forrest was volunteering for ORRCA — Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans in Australia — filming the annual humpback migration on what they call the “humpback highway”.

He noticed one female swimming unusually slow behind her pod. Then a cloud of red bloomed — he thought predator attack at first — and then a pale white calf shot to the surface for its very first breath.

It’s only the *4th time in history a full humpback birth has ever been filmed*, and the *first time ever captured by drone* from the air.

The mother stayed with the calf for hours after, teaching it how to breathe, how to be. You can see it in the end — that tiny white body learning how to be held by the ocean that is not separate from us.

🇪🇸⚡️ — Heavy rainfall has caused flooding in Spain. The town of Madrigueras in the province of Albacete, in the region of Castile-La Mancha, was the worst affected.

Water flooded homes and shops, and cars were swept along the streets. In some areas, the water level exceeded two meters.

Local authorities say that they have not seen such severe flooding in this area since at least the 1950s.
