An Iranian commercial passenger aircraft has also landed in China, but this should not necessarily be interpreted as evidence that the latest sanctions pressure has been bypassed, particularly because China has its own established approach to US sanctions involving Iran.

In the case of Iraq, the continuation of flights between Iran and Najaf had already been announced in advance, so the ongoing operation of these flights is not necessarily a new development resulting from the latest pressure. The situation in Turkey also requires a separate assessment. The reported aircraft was an Iran Air flight, not a Mahan Air flight, and the circumstances surrounding the flight may therefore be different.

We need to examine the different reports, restrictions, airlines, routes, and reasons behind each flight before drawing conclusions. These developments are certainly worth monitoring, but individual flights to China, Iraq, Turkey, or the UAE should not by themselves be taken as evidence that the entire Iranian commercial fleet is operating at full capacity or without restrictions.
