In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

It pains us, and indeed we flatly reject, to see the Islamic Republic subjected to a blockade by land, sea, and air with its people suffering severely while Iraq stands by as a mere spectator, or worse, participates in this unjust, oppressive siege.

I do not say that we should look to countries of the size of China and Russia, which prioritize their own interests and sovereignty based on their political, economic, and military clout.

Rather, I say: It is neither reasonable nor acceptable for Iraq's stance toward Iran to differ from its stance toward Turkey and Afghanistan in refusing to comply with the blockades imposed on peoples. This is especially true given the unique social and cultural bonds that connect Iraq and Iraqis with the Muslim, believing Iranian people who uphold the allegiance (Wilayah) to the Ahl al-Bayt (A).

Therefore, we urge our people first, and subsequently the political forces, the parliament, and the government, to adopt a unified stance. This should stem from sovereign and humanitarian principles respecting our sovereignty by making decisions free from intimidation, and exercising our humanity as the people of Imam Hussein, who refuse to be complicit in the oppression of Muslim nations.

We emphasize the necessity of unifying ranks and avoiding accusations of treason, for Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they were a single solid structure.
