— Saying “Israel is also doing bad things does not by itself prove that Iran was good for Syria", but the claim, that Iran and Assad simply destroyed Syria, is equally incomplete and ignores the actual circumstances of the war. Iran did not enter Syria in a vacuum or create the Syrian war from nothing. It intervened as an ally of the Syrian government when the country was facing an armed insurgency involving numerous CIA-Mossad plotted factions, including organized Takfiri terrorist groups such as ISIS and al-Qaeda formations, whose presence and activities were often downplayed, denied, or selectively presented by some Takfiri Sunnism-aligned governments, media outlets, and their supporters. Iran’s stated position was that its military involvement was aimed at preventing the collapse of the Syrian state and confronting the terrorist groups threatening Damascus and other population centers. Whatever one’s opinion of Assad or Iran, it is historically impossible to understand the Syrian war without acknowledging that organized terrorist factions became a major component of the war and that several regional and international powers supported different terrorist groups or intervened directly. At the same time, those who spent years presenting themselves from Europe and elsewhere as the representatives of “Free Syria” should also be asked a very simple question: if they genuinely believe they have the political vision and legitimacy to rebuild Syria, why are so many still living outside the country rather than returning and taking responsibility for rebuilding it? This does not mean every Syrian refugee should be condemned, because many people fled genuine violence, insecurity, and persecution, but it does expose the weakness of political narratives that claim to speak for an entire country while their advocates remain safely abroad. Syria’s destruction cannot honestly be attributed to Iran which came to protect it, while ignoring the armed Takfiri invasion, foreign intervention, sanctions, proxy warfare, and the competing agendas of regional and international powers. If we are going to discuss what happened to Syria, then the entire history must be confronted, including who armed whom, who fought whom, who benefited from the fragmentation of the country, who fought to prevent the state’s collapse, and who is actually prepared to return and help rebuild Syria rather than simply continue the argument from Europe. Anyway, Takfiri Sunni cults and israel are no different from each other except in spelling. Lies and hypocrisy are the food of their souls.
