– Suicide or something else?

What happened that led eight personnel to die by suicide? Was it a psychological breakdown? To all those serving in the American armed forces and allied forces: ask yourselves what you are doing, why you are doing it, and whose interests you are ultimately serving. When you know that the wars you participate in are causing destruction, suffering, and massacres, your own conscience may eventually force you to confront what you have taken part in. You may be following orders, but that does not erase the human consequences of those orders. The destruction you help cause does not simply disappear, and the memories of those affected can last a lifetime. No regime, government, or military command can permanently silence a person’s conscience. But every soldier should ask whether the wars they are being sent to fight are truly worth the human cost. Refuse to become another instrument of destruction, question the orders you are given.
