Synopsis:
What do a tiny biomolecule and a future quantum computer have in common? Both can be explored using one of the strangest tools in modern science: an ion trap. By using electric fields to hold individual charged particles in place, we can study the molecules of life, control single atoms, and rearrange the building blocks of quantum technologies.
