BREAKING: Two Thai businessmen are suing Tether, alleging that the company froze 42.4 million USDT at the request of U.S. law enforcement before any warrant was issued.

According to the complaint, Tether blacklisted 10 Ethereum addresses in October 2025. A federal seizure warrant was obtained more than three months later, in February 2026.

The case will test whether a private stablecoin issuer can freeze assets acquired on the secondary market based on an informal government request and without prior judicial authorization.

UPDATE: STON.fi acknowledged that its safeguards were insufficient and fully compensated the affected user with 4,000 $GRAM.

The DEX said its price-impact protection did not fully cover tokens without a reliable USD price, while support initially failed to identify the issue.

STON.fi has already introduced additional safeguards to block swaps with similarly high price impact and is working on adding more liquidity sources to Omniston.
