💬 In Telegram Beta for macOS 12.10.283300, an experimental «HTMLBubbles» subsystem has appeared. It allows creating messages that can change after user interaction — with buttons, toggles, charts, animations, and their own state.
Internal demos already show quite different scenarios: a product card with color and size selection and a shopping cart, a boarding pass, a task list, a CI/CD panel with Promote and Roll back, code review, analytics with charts, chess, timers, and other interactive elements.
Telegram doesn't launch a regular webpage or WebView for this. HTML is rendered directly inside the message, while JavaScript runs in a separate restricted environment. It has no access to document, window, network requests, WebSocket, localStorage, or other browser APIs.
Telegram has also added strict limitations: limited JavaScript execution time, limits on the number of timers and HTML size, automatic pausing of animations when they are off-screen, and a static fallback in case of an error. External HTTP/HTTPS images are also blocked.
For now, HTML Bubbles are not available to users or bots.
