🇹🇷🇦🇿The ruling party of Azerbaijan has formally requested that Turkish political figures refrain from intervening in the internal affairs of the country. This diplomatic response addresses recent publications in social media and traditional news outlets, including statements by Oktay Saral, the chief advisor to President Erdogan, which criticized restrictions on the wearing of headscarves in Azerbaijani schools, as well as remarks by members of the ruling party in Ankara that were deemed defamatory toward Baku.

➡️The press service of the "Yeni Azerbaijan" party stated that the utilization of sensitive matters, such as the wearing of headscarves, for political manipulation and division does not serve the unity of the Turkish people or the solidarity of the Muslim world. The party further declared that employing such topics as a mechanism for political pressure against Azerbaijan is unacceptable and urged the leadership of the AKP to discontinue this harmful policy.

➡️Ankara was also reminded that both Türkiye and Azerbaijan are secular states, and a cessation of statements that could undermine bilateral relations was requested. Additionally, the "Yeni Azerbaijan" party noted that President Aliyev is actively working to resolve the Palestinian issue and provides financial and humanitarian assistance to Palestine, while simultaneously "maintaining normal interstate relations" with the Zionists.
