Ondo launched Intelligent Portfolios with BlackRock, rolling out three tokens built on model strategies BlackRock designed for Ondo, each packing a basket of tokenized iShares ETFs into a single onchain token for investors outside the US.
The BlackRock lineup covers High Income (BLKHIon), Diversified Growth (BLKDIGon) and High Growth (BLKGRWon). High Income, for example, tracks nine iShares fixed income ETFs split roughly 32% aggregate bond, 30% high yield, 24% credit and 14% other. BlackRock's role is limited to supplying the model strategies, while Ondo manages, sponsors and administers the portfolios, and the tokens rebalance to target weights at the smart contract level with every holding and rebalance visible onchain. Eligible users can mint and redeem on the Ondo app, or trade the tokens 24/7 through exchanges, wallets and DeFi on Ethereum and BNB Chain, with Solana coming soon.
It is the first time onchain investors can get BlackRock-built portfolio strategies in one token, and it deepens a relationship that already runs through BlackRock's BUIDL fund backing Ondo's tokenized treasuries.
