من بحث هایی را با بور به خاطر می آورم که ساعت های زیادی تا دیروقت شب ادامه داشت و اغلب با ناامیدی به پایان رسید. و هنگامی که در پایان بحث به تنهایی برای قدم زدن در پارک مجاور رفتم ، بارها و بارها این سوال را با خودم تکرار می کردم: آیا طبیعت می تواتد اینقدر پوچ باشد, همانطور که در این آزمایشات اتمی به نظر ما می رسید؟
