🇫🇷 France Becomes Europe's Crypto KIDNAPPING Capital

France has logged 135 crypto-linked kidnapping incidents since 2023, nearly 80% of all such cases in Europe, per Decrypt.

The latest victim is a salaried crypto IT worker whose family, including two children aged 8 and 12, was held and assaulted at their home in northern France. About $46,000 was taken, and all four suspects are still at large.

Past targets include Ledger co-founder David Balland, whose finger was severed, and the wife of The Sandbox co-founder Sébastien Borget.

Authorities say leaked data exposing crypto holders' names, holdings and home addresses is helping attackers pick targets.
