Ads on social media and search engines promised big returns on forex and crypto. Multilingual staff called you, a fake platform showed your money growing, and every withdrawal attempt hit one more required payment - a tax, a frozen account, a fee. The money went out to overseas bank accounts and crypto wallets..

201 people detained so far out of 248 suspects, across 42 call centers and 28 companies. Assets worth around $31M seized or frozen 🧊

The Turkish offices moved about $266M. But they were one piece of something much bigger - an operation investigators call "Scam Empire", blamed for over $3 billion taken worldwide 🌍
