🇪🇹⚔️🇪🇷 Ethiopia broke off diplomatic relations with Eritrea accusing the latter of supporting the TPLF and other rebel movements which aim to topple the Ethiopian government
With the resumption of fighting between the ENDF and TPLF, the TPLF alongside a new rebel Afar group invaded Ethiopia's Afar region with borders the southeastern corner of Eritrea.
It is alleged by Ethiopia that Eritrean troops are involved in the TPLF offensive in the Afar region as a way to create a buffer zone and protect the Eritrean port of Assab which Addis Ababa laid claims on.
