🇷🇺🤖 Russian president, Vladimir Putin, opposes the use of AI in nuclear decision making envisioning a scenario similar to the 1983 Soviet nuclear false alarm incident where a Soviet early warning system malfunctioned and showed incoming American missiles but no Soviet counterattack was launched due to the opposition of one of three Soviet officers on-duty at the time, Lt-Col. Stanislav Petrov.
