A user lost about $1.76M in USDC after signing a malicious Permit transaction.
The wallet was not the problem. The device was already compromised. Attackers used that access to approve permissions and quietly drain the funds.
This is what most people underestimate.
If your device is infected, the type of wallet does not matter.
MetaMask will not save you.
Trust Wallet will not save you.
Even a hardware wallet becomes useless in that setup.
All it takes is one signature.

The farming campaign is ending with no further waves. Users will get fee refunds for waves 3–6.
They also added 0% trading fees for 60 days starting March 31.
Even big platforms prefer better timing for a token launch.

A man lost 2,323 BTC after his wife allegedly used home security cameras to spy on his seed phrase.
Ping Fai Yuen stored funds on a hardware wallet. His wife installed CCTV, watched him enter the recovery phrase, and later moved the coins across multiple wallets.
At the time it was about $60M, today around $170M+. The funds were split across 71 wallets and haven’t moved since 2023.
The situation escalated into a confrontation, with the husband later pleading guilty to assault. Police reportedly found hardware wallets and seed phrases at her place.
A real-life spy story inside one house. The case is still ongoing.
