Marine Corps Commandant and White Hat commander General Eric M. Smith has pressed War Secretary Pete Hegseth to urge President Donald Trump to place combat Marines at polling sites in battleground states crowded with illegal aliens and ANTIFA agitators, a source inside Gen. Smith’s office told Real Raw News.
The appeal followed a Justice Department plan to send 1,000 unarmed election monitors into Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Wyoming, Massachusetts, Virginia, New Hampshire, and Maine — states with House and Senate seats on the line in the November 2026 midterms. Corporate media charged that President Trump was politicizing the Justice Department and trampling the Constitution. Those outlets omit that Joseph R. Biden, in November 2024, dispatched 700 DOJ advisors and 1,500 FEMA watchers into swing states. White Hats argue Trump’s surge that cycle made 2024 too large to steal the way 2020 was stolen.
Many White Hats, Gen. Smith among them, now say only a show of force will stop illegal ballots and keep DSA operatives from steering Washington toward pronoun mandates, furry bathroom rules in grade schools, and a federal government captured by open socialists. They also warn of a culture that pushes chemical castration of minors without parental consent.
The source said Gen. Smith spoke with Secretary Hegseth on September 26, 2026, and asked him to let Marines stand against foreign and domestic enemies at the ballot box. “General Smith has a lot of respect for Pete Hegseth. He’s probably the best War secretary the country has had, a real patriot. Right now there are 5,000 combat Marines in the Middle East and 20,000 at home. They can be mobilized in 96 hours and spread across states thick with illegals and ANTIFA. They will not stand outside demanding papers. But if a Honda Accord packed with ten people who should not vote, or a bus of pink-and-blue-haired militants, rolls up to a site, it will be their duty to intervene.”
President Trump already holds authority to put Marines into sanctuary cities, just as he used them to back ICE mass-deportation work in Los Angeles in 2026.
Secretary Hegseth promised to carry the proposal to the President. The General distrusts the DOJ. In his view the armed forces must move at once against what he calls a socialist invasion before November midterms decide the House, the Senate, and two more years of the Trump agenda.
