As the Martyr Leader declared, to give credit where credit is due to elected officials regardless of differences, we always try to be fair and show the good done by officials whom we have differences with.
We hailed President Pezeshkian for his UNGA speech, for example.
This clip, without context, is also a powerful statement.
However, we didn't know the context of it until seeing an extended clip. This statement is in response to a reporter asking about the Mecca Defense Pact between Saudi, Turkey, and Pakistan.
A pact which was formed out of hostility towards Iran and its allies in the region and to protect Zionist and American interests in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and prevent Ansarallah from being able to create a 2nd Hormuz economic quagmire. The president spoke somewhat positively about this anti-Iran alliance. 🤦♂️
What could have been a very beautiful and powerful statement was partially spoiled by the context in which it was made.
Yes, in order for Muslims to unite, be brothers, and implement Islamic teachings, the first teaching we must implement is the part of Ayatul Kursi in the Holy Qur'an "so whomever rejects taghut (illegitimate, arrogant earthly powers like the US and international Zionism) and believes in Allah..." The Gulf states must first reject Taghut so we can serve Allah together. There is no unity in military alliances formed for the sake of defending the taghut from the Islamic resistance.
Saudi Arabia must also stop their anti-Persian racism — especially as many of the founders of Sunni religious schools of thought and/or compilers of hadith books (i.e. Bukhari) were of Persian origin.
However, it is highly unlikely that the current rulers of these Gulf countries will heed the words of Allah and it will take popular uprisings to install independent, God-fearing rulers in their stead.
