However, despite the lack of requests, 18 countries provided Iran with assistance, including medical assistance.

He noted that Russia sent 313 tons of grade-A medicine and medical supplies during the war.

Aside from official aid donations from the level of countries, many private individuals also donated to support relief efforts in Iran, citing the story of an Iraqi woman who donated all of her valuable possessions, including her wedding ring, and said the woman declared her reasoning to be that since this is a war between Islam and the rejectors of truth, she wants to have a share in supporting Islam.
