🌻 Good morning, with hearts seeking refuge in Allah, the Most Merciful, and souls longing for His protection from the darkness of arrogance and heedlessness.
“Indeed, I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant person who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning.”
(Qur’an 40:27)
⚠️ Arrogance is not merely a feeling of superiority over others; it is a dangerous state of the heart that can lead a person to reject truth, violate the rights of others, and commit injustice without remorse.
💥 When arrogance is combined with disbelief in the Day of Reckoning, a person may begin to act as though no accountability awaits them and no consequence will follow their actions.
⚠️ The one who forgets the Hereafter may imagine that power grants permission to oppress, wealth excuses exploitation, and authority places them above the laws of justice.
💥 They may disregard the tears of the oppressed, the cries of the vulnerable, and the suffering caused by their decisions.
💫 Yet no position is permanent, no worldly power is absolute, and no injustice escapes the knowledge of Allah.
💥 The Qur’anic supplication of seeking refuge in Allah reminds us that true security lies not in our own strength, but in our dependence upon our Lord.
🍃 It also calls us to examine our own hearts:
❗️Do we acknowledge our mistakes?
❗️Do we accept the truth even when it challenges our pride?
❗️Do we remember that every word, decision, and deed will one day be brought before Allah?
🤲 Let us begin this morning by asking Allah to protect us from arrogance, purify our intentions, strengthen our faith in the Hereafter, and grant us the humility to recognize our shortcomings.
🤲 May we never become a source of fear or injustice for others, but rather a source of mercy, fairness, and goodness.
💫 O Allah, we seek refuge in You from arrogance, oppression, and heedlessness.
💫 Grant us safety, forgiveness, and well-being in this world and the Hereafter, and make us among those who stand firmly for truth and justice.
