❗️The European Commission rejected Ukraine’s request to accelerate additional EU funding, demanding implemented reforms before further support.
Ukraine sought to advance tranches from a €90 billion loan package to cover $27 billion in military needs identified this summer. Only €15.7 billion has been disbursed so far this year.
Brussels is instead prioritizing reform progress, particularly anti-corruption measures regarding politically exposed persons, which could unlock about €34 billion in EU support this year.
