Once, scientists injected pigeons with a drug that destroyed the macrophages in their livers, severely disrupted their metabolism, and caused symptoms of acute poisoning. In the process, the pigeons turned green, but this effect wasn't described in the paper because it wasn't relevant to its topic.

"This reminds me of the legend of Prometheus," one pigeon said to another.

"A very good analogy," replied his companion.

However, it is crucial to understand here that no matter how good an analogy is, it does not constitute proof. Does consciousness resemble the wind? Very much so. But does that mean consciousness is the wind? No, no, and once again, no.
