Mystery Dumpling: from a TikTok trend to a Hypercasual hit with 15M installs

Brocket Bus Studio spotted a TikTok trend on unboxing colorful dumplings in hopes of finding a rare, glittery one. And turned it into ASMR game with the same cute visuals and mechanics.

In less than 3 months, Mystery Dumpling: Unbox ASMR generated 15M installs and inspired almost 20 clones 🤌

This case is yet another reminder that short-form videos can be a great source of inspiration for hypercasual developers, thanks to their recognizable visuals and simple activities that can be turned into game mechanics that are quick to build.
