🇳🇬 Nigeria advances $3.7bn gas projects to supply NLNG Train 7

Nigeria is moving ahead with $3.7bn in gas projects to supply feedstock for Nigeria LNG’s Train 7 expansion, with a 1973 offshore gas discovery now nearing production after decades of delay. The projects mark a push to revive stranded gas fields as demand rises from NLNG’s new train.

The Africa Report said the shift reflects recent fiscal changes under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and renewed commercial incentives in the gas sector. NLNG Train 7 is expected to increase liquefaction capacity at the Bonny Island plant.
