🇪🇹🇩🇯 Dangote backs $660m fuel pipeline from Djibouti into Ethiopia

Ethiopia, Djibouti and Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote are planning a $660m pipeline to transport refined fuel from Djibouti’s coast into landlocked Ethiopia. The 120km pipeline will run from Damerjog in Djibouti to Dewele on the Ethiopian border and is expected to carry jet fuel, diesel and petrol.

The project will be developed by Ethiopian Investment Holdings, Ethiopia’s sovereign wealth fund, together with the Dangote Group. The announcement comes as Ethiopia seeks to strengthen fuel supply routes through Djibouti, its main maritime trade corridor.
