The Clarity Act did not advance in the U.S. Senate.
The bill was meant to set a clearer federal framework for crypto markets. On September 15 it failed a procedural vote: 60 votes were required, and the chamber did not get there.
That does not wipe the bill off the table. It can still come back. The calendar before the midterms is tight, so most of the attention now moves to the SEC and the CFTC. Both have already said they will keep writing rules with the authority they have now.
