In September, the U.S. economy added 29,000 new jobs. The forecast was for 90,000. The unemployment rate rose to 4.2%.
Economists call missing a target by 68% a "slight deviation." My senior software engineer friend has been looking for a job since April. Ask him how "slight" this 68% feels when your savings have an expiration date.
I can’t quit my job—and I can’t find a new one. Is this stability or a trap?
