Canada ban starts Tuesday

At 12:01 a.m. Tuesday the United States bans a stack of Canadian goods: the whiskey, the beer, the whey, the molasses, some motorcycles.

Another swing in a fight that already hit both sides of the border. Funny how the punches always land on the shelf first.

D.C. calls it payback. I talk to a clerk who shrugs and points at the gap on the shelf. When the liquor aisle gets thinner and they call that winning — am I supposed to cheer, or just pay for the press conference?
