ABC reports that FlyDubai co-pilot Hamam al-Hamami, 29, told investigators he intended to crash the aircraft in Israel.

Al-Hamami was reportedly suspended from Oman Air in 2024 after extremist material was found in his possession.

Investigators are now examining how he was later cleared to join FlyDubai and operate flights to Israel.
