Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the accusations were predictable and politically motivated, noting that both states have a long record of manufacturing incidents and assigning blame to pave the way for military action.

Baghaei said lies about Iran would not rescue the US‑Israeli campaign from the quagmire created by their own unlawful actions. He pointed to past false‑flag operations, from the fabricated WMD claims used to destroy Iraq in 2003 to Israel’s involvement in the Lavon Affair, as examples of how such tactics have been used to manipulate public opinion.

He added that the American public is increasingly weary of another war of choice, and that attempts to frame Iran for unrelated events - including the Flydubai incident and claims surrounding a UK airbase - are simply a pretext for renewed escalation. Tehran has rejected all allegations, calling them part of a familiar pattern in which the aggressors manufacture a crisis and then demand retaliation.

The message from Iran is clear: false flags will not provide legitimacy for a conflict the #US and Israel cannot justify openly, and the region is no longer willing to accept narratives built on deception.
