FED’S KASHKARI OPEN-MINDED ON OCTOBER RATE HIKE

Fed’s Neel Kashkari says he has “no strong view” on an October hike and remains open-minded on the pace of tightening.

His September projections called for one more hike in 2026 and another in 2027.

Kashkari said the economy has outperformed expectations and warned the Fed may need to hike more if strength persists, while inflation expectations remain anchored near 2%.
