FED LEADERS SIGNAL NO URGENCY FOR OCTOBER RATE HIKE

Fed Vice Chair Philip Jefferson says officials “may take more time” before deciding on another rate increase, echoing NY Fed President John Williams.

Their aligned message suggests Fed leadership favors a patient approach after September’s hike.

Market-implied odds of an October hike have fallen from more than two-thirds to around one-third this week.
