Eli Lilly’s experimental drug eloralintide, combined with Zepbound, delivered 23.3% average weight loss over roughly 11 months, compared with 14.8% for Zepbound alone in patients with Type 2 diabetes.

However, 11–27% discontinued the combination due to side effects, highlighting tolerability concerns.

Lilly plans to advance the treatment into late-stage trials later this year.
