4 октября 2026 года, в Неделю 18-ю по Пятидесятнице, по Воздвижении, в день отдания праздника Воздвижения Честного и Животворящего Креста Господня и обретения мощей святителя Димитрия, митрополита Ростовского, Высокопреосвященнейший Кирилл, архиепископ Сан-Францисский и Западно-Американский, совершил Божественную литургию в Кафедральном соборе Пресвятой Богородицы «Всех скорбящих Радости» в Сан-Франциско.
Его Высокопреосвященству сослужило духовенство собора. Иерейский чин возглавил ключарь собора протоиерей Петр Перекрестов.
Богослужебные песнопения исполнил хор Кафедрального собора под управлением Владимира Красовского.
По окончании Божественной литургии, в связи с отданием праздника Воздвижения Креста Господня, при пении тропаря праздника Честной и Животворящий Крест был внесен в алтарь.
В этот же день, когда Церковь празднует обретение мощей святителя Димитрия Ростовского, старшему иподиакону собора Дмитрию Шикалову по случаю его тезоименитства было провозглашено многолетие.
On October 4, 2026, the 18th Sunday after Pentecost, the Sunday after the Exaltation, the leave-taking of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, and the commemoration of the Finding of the Relics of St. Demetrius, Metropolitan of Rostov, His Eminence Kyrill, Archbishop of San Francisco and Western America, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Virgin Cathedral “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in San Francisco.
His Eminence was concelebrated by the clergy of the Cathedral. The priestly rank was led by the Cathedral Dean, Archpriest Peter Perekrestov.
The liturgical hymns were sung by the Cathedral choir under the direction of Vladimir Krasovsky.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, in observance of the leave-taking of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross of the Lord, the Precious and Life-Giving Cross was carried into the altar to the singing of the troparion of the feast.
On this same day, when the Church commemorates the Finding of the Relics of St. Demetrius of Rostov, “Many Years” was intoned for the Cathedral’s senior subdeacon, Dmitry Shikalov, on the occasion of his name day.
