Finally, a distinct example of Berlin improv on our Berlin-based Siberian label. This recording captures the electrifying atmosphere of a live performance in vivid detail, full of acute attention to whatever comes next. The classic juxtaposition of reeds and brass, here represented with Swiss/French saxophonist Bertrand Denzler and Berlin trumpeter Axel Dörner, each extending the sonic palette of their respective instruments quite far from the traditional timbres, is balanced and anchored with the acoustic guitar (with electric feedback) and assorted percussive objects of Siberian-born, Berlin-based Alexander Markvart. Together, they build an event space full of dynamics and textures - an immersion in the moment, a peregrination to God knows where.
