Alawite Woman Released After Being Held in Lebanon Following Her Kidnapping in Syria...

"Baraah al-Hassan," 35, has been released. She was kidnapped in the "Safita" area of Tartus province on September 20, 2026, while on her way home to the #TalKalakh ( w #Homs).

She returned to her family from Lebanon on Friday, October 2, 2026, after being taken there by her kidnappers. She came back in poor psychological and physical condition, with visible signs of torture, and was treated and discharged from the hospital today.

According to testimonies from families of kidnapped Alawite women, kidnappers have been transferring abducted women to Lebanon, most often smuggling them through Tal Kalakh.
