🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 The Kremlin has rejected Zelensky's proposal for a two-month ceasefire to hold a presidential election in Ukraine.

"The Kremlin has said repeatedly that we don't want a ceasefire, we want a long-term peace. And we are ready to do everything possible for that," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, responding to Zelensky.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov struck a similar tone: "I don't think Zelensky has earned a ceasefire."
