🇮🇷❌️🇺🇸 We are now almost certain that this footage from September 8/9, is of the successful Iranian ballistic ASM on a US Arligh Burke class destroyer in which 29 USN sailors and 8 Marines were wounded.

The jury is still out about the type of missile used.

It could have been either the 300 km range, Khalij-e Fars mach 4 ASM with an optical/IR 650 kg warhead or a Qasem Basir, 1200 km range ballistic ASM.

That no fatalities have been reported maybe because the missile hit either fore or aft of the ship.

🇮🇹⚔️🇮🇹 NATO friendly fire in Latvia: Italian troops shoot their own

Four Italian soldiers were wounded, one seriously, during a NATO live-fire exercise at the Adazi base in Latvia on Friday night.

According to Italy's Defence Ministry, a soldier on one Dardo infantry fighting vehicle opened fire on another Italian vehicle. Italian news agency ANSA reports that a burst from its 7.62mm machine gun hit the Dardo travelling directly ahead, apparently while its rear hatch was open.

All four wounded are from the 11th Bersaglieri Regiment. They were taken to hospital in Riga, and their injuries are not life-threatening. An investigation is underway.

Adazi hosts NATO's multinational brigade of around 3,500 troops from more than a dozen countries, deployed to "defend" the alliance's northeastern flank against Russia.

The deterrent force on Russia's border has now managed to shoot itself.

▪️Last night, the enemy launched one of the most massive drone attacks on Russian regions. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, from 8:00 PM on September 25 to 8:00 AM on September 26, 645 aircraft-type drones were intercepted and destroyed over 13 regions, the Black Sea, and the Sea of Azov. The most severe consequences were reported in the south. In the Severny district of the Krasnodar region, there were casualties, one person was hospitalized in serious condition, a residential building was damaged, and fires broke out on the territory of two enterprises. In the Rostov region, about 30 drones were destroyed over Taganrog, Azov, and several other areas. Five people were injured in Taganrog and Azov, and residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. In Nevinnomyssk, in the Stavropol region, drones attacked the industrial zone.

▪️Last night, the Russian Armed Forces continued long-range strikes in Ukrainian territory. The main drone attacks came from the north, east, and south. ▪️In the LNR, the enemy has sharply increased the use of drones. About 90 air targets were destroyed over the Republic in 24 hours, and six civilians were injured. In the Sverdlovsk district, a multi-apartment building was hit, in Severodonetsk, a drone attacked a car and a vehicle belonging to a construction company, and in the Starobelsky district, a truck was hit. It is reported that Russian control has been restored in one area, extending up to 1.5 km deep. At the same time, fighting continues in Nikolaevka. The main problem in this area is not so much large mechanized attacks as numerous small enemy groups and the high concentration of Ukrainian drones.

▪️In the Kupyansk direction, the situation remains extremely tense. According to reports from the area, fighting continues for Kovsharovka and Novoosinov. In Kupyansk itself, small Russian groups are operating in isolation, and supply to individual positions is complicated. Fighting is also taking place in the urban areas of Kupyansk-Uzlovy. The situation here is difficult: the advance of small groups without a stable logistics system does not lead to control of the territory, and the enemy is trying to repel the infiltrating units and close the gaps that have formed.

▪️In the Druzhkovka direction, Russian pressure remains one of the most intense on the entire front. Russian Armed Forces units are advancing in the area of Alekseevo-Druzhkovka, trying to expand their control over the settlement. According to the enemy, there were 18 combat clashes in the Konstantinovka direction on September 25 alone, more than in any other sector of the front during the same period. A single combat hub is gradually forming between Konstantinovka and Druzhkovka: instead of a frontal attack, Russian units are trying to expand the flanks and force the enemy to stretch their reserves.

▪️In the Zaporozhye direction, the Eastern Group of Forces continues to put pressure on several areas. In the area of Novoselovka, Russian units have expanded the combat zone in the direction of Omelnik. Pressure is being maintained on the northern section west of Zorevka and northwest of Zarnitsa. Last night, UAV units of the 35th RCB Regiment of the 35th Army of the Eastern Group of Forces struck ground control stations for Ukrainian UAVs. El Ministerio de Defensa de la Federación Rusa publica un mapa de la situación en Dobropolia, lo que, en esencia, nos informa a todos de que se ha formado un segundo cerco para las Fuerzas Armadas de Ucrania en los últimos tiempos.

El primero se está limpiando en la región de Járkov, y el segundo, en Dobropolia. Si/cuando el cerco anunciado se confirme, esto será importante por varias razones.

A través de Dobropolia fluía un flujo significativo de suministros (municiones, combustible, refuerzos) para las unidades de las Fuerzas Armadas de Ucrania ubicadas al oeste de Pokrovsk y Mirnograd.

La pérdida de Dobropolia cortaría físicamente el flanco sur del grupo enemigo del flanco norte en esta área. Toda la logística de las Fuerzas Armadas de Ucrania en el este se vería interrumpida en dos secciones aisladas, sin la posibilidad de un rápido despliegue de refuerzos.

No hay que olvidar que Dobropolia es un importante centro urbano en esta zona, justo antes de la frontera administrativa con la región de Dnipropetrovsk, y su pérdida, aunque no abra directamente el camino a Dnipropetrovsk por carretera, al menos facilitaría un poco el acceso.
