JUST IN: A Philadelphia police officer is dead and another is fighting for their life after the two were shot a combined 15 times while responding to a report of an armed man early Saturday morning.
Police say the officers came under heavy gunfire after stepping onto a porch in West Philadelphia. The suspect allegedly fired at two more officers before a SWAT team tracked him down hiding in a tree and took him into custody.
