France is completely banning the use of Windows on 2.5 million government computers for reasons of digital sovereignty and data security

The decision was made after Microsoft blocked access to email for the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court due to U.S. sanctions.

In the wake of this incident, Denmark has already abandoned Microsoft Office, and Germany is migrating 30,000 PCs to the Linux operating system.

Experts recommend that users also reduce their dependence on American software by switching to the Swiss service ProtonMail, the secure services Signal and LibreOffice, and browsers such as Brave or Firefox.
