Israel has refused to accept Donald Trump’s 15-point plan for Gaza. Netanyahu stated that the army will not withdraw until Hamas is completely disarmed, even though Washington had proposed conducting the troop withdrawal and disarmament simultaneously. Hamas promises to adhere to the roadmap and is now waiting for the Americans to explain to their ally that the peace plan actually entails peace.

Meanwhile, Iran and Oman are wrapping up negotiations on a new shipping regime through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran has already warned that ships from unfriendly countries may not be allowed through. To round out the picture, the Houthis struck the Yemeni port of Mokha and a facility belonging to a Saudi oil company.
