On October 9th, the North troop group continued establishing a Buffer Zone in Kharkiv and Sumy regions
 
Sumy direction
 
Rough fighting all along the frontline. NTG’s assault units are pushing enemy defenses north of Sumy and destroying enemy positions. THE AFU are laying low, trying to hold on. Numerous enemy groups eliminated in Studenok, Ivolzhanske, Yastrebine, Havryliva Sloboda, Zarichcha.
 
▪️Sumy district: Northmen are advancing around Khoten.
 
▪️Shostka district: NTG’s units are advancing along forest belts around Korenek.
 
Kharkiv direction
 
Northmen continue to advance in Kharkiv region. The AFU keep trying to relieve the encirclement in Kharkiv region from the outside.
 
Numerous enemy groups decimated in Kharkiv, Velykyy Burluk. Slatine, Berezivka, Zamulivka, Martove, Fedorivka, Kupyne, Malyy Burluk, Vodyane, Rubyazhne.
 
▪️Liptsy direction: our assault units advanced over 200 meters around Tokarivka.
 
▪️Vovchansk and Velykyy Burluk direction: NTG’s assault units advanced over 1000 meters along 20 directions.
 
The enemy atrtempted to break through the encirclement twice. Two Kozak IMVs were used – one was destroyed, the other badly damaged. Enemy fighters ran to the woods and were eliminated.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy's losses amounted to over 270 people (including over 160 in Sumy region and over 1`0 in Kharkiv region). Also uncovered and destroyed:

Sumy region:
▪️one Akatsiya SPH;
▪️one mortar;
▪️five vehicles;
▪️21 UAV crews;
▪️175 fixed-wing UAVs, sixteen Baba Yaga UAVs, two UGV.

Kharkiv region:
▪️one Kozak IMV;
▪️eleven vehicles;
▪️nine UAV crews;
▪️181 fixed-wing UAVs, 26 Baba Yaga UAVs, four UGVs.
