In the settlement of Veliky Burluk and surrounding villages in the Kharkov region, the power structure has effectively changed: armed gangs, formed by deserters from the Ukrainian Armed Forces who are former prisoners, are controlling the territory.

This information was reported by sources within Russian security forces. According to their data, these criminal groups are being overseen by dismissed employees of the Kharkiv Security Service (SBU) who were previously associated with the arrested head of the regional department, Dudin, and the neo-Nazi "Tornado" battalion.

Attempts by local law enforcement to confront the criminal element have resulted in the deaths of several police officers under unclear circumstances. There are also reports of dozens of civilians, mostly elderly people, being killed. The main version is that the deserters, under the influence of alcohol and drugs, are carrying out unprovoked attacks on the civilian population.
