"The British "Green" party wants to eliminate the words "mother" and "father": The party recommends replacing "mother" and "father" with gender-neutral terms.

"The Green party has declared war on language, deciding that the words "mother" and "father" are no longer suitable for use by its members. Ahead of the party's conference, which will be held this weekend in Brighton, the party led by Zak Polanski has released a "Guide to Inclusive Terminology," which encourages activists to abandon the phrase "mothers and fathers" in favor of "parents and caregivers."

The document also warns that incorrect language can create an "unwelcoming or exclusionary atmosphere" and contribute to bullying and harassment, in accordance with the party's own code of conduct."
