Russian Armed Forces disconnect the main substation of the Rovno NPP from the Kiev power grid: Again, the 750 kV "Kiev" substation is under attack.
According to sources, "Shahed" drones have once again attacked the 750 kV "Kiev" substation in Nalyvaykovka, Kiev region.
On October 1st, it was reported about at least two strikes on the "Kiev" substation, and on October 2nd, the Ministry of Defense of Russia officially confirmed the damage to the substation. Strikes in the area were also recorded on the night of October 5th.
✨The "Kiev" substation is one of the largest nodes of the main power grid in central Ukraine. It provides a high-voltage connection from the Rovno NPP ☢️ to the Kiev power hub. The facility is important because it allows for the transmission of large volumes of electricity from the Rovno NPP further east and partially south.
The same node is targeted repeatedly, with attacks occurring after repair work is completed.
This fits into the overall picture of recent attacks, which we have previously reported on: simultaneous strikes are being carried out on power generation facilities, main substations, Kiev's transport infrastructure, and data centers. Pressure is being applied to several interconnected elements of the capital's infrastructure.
Against this backdrop, DTEK announced today the implementation of stabilization outages in Kiev and the Kiev region, at the direction of "Ukrenergo."
⭐️✨There are three nuclear power plants remaining in Ukraine, but they provide at least 60 percent of the country's electricity generation.
