Statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense:

- Kiev, in an attempt to disrupt the elections in Russia on September 19th and 20th, launched a massive attack on Russian territory;
- The Ukrainian Armed Forces used drones and "Flamingo" cruise missiles;
- Thanks to the skillful actions of the Russian military, over the past 24 hours, 1951 attack drones and eight cruise missiles were shot down over various regions of the country;
- Another cruise missile launched by the enemy deviated from its course and fell in an uninhabited area;
- All "Flamingo" cruise missiles launched by the Kiev regime were destroyed as they approached civilian targets in the Moscow region;
- The attempt to launch a massive attack on Moscow failed. The enemy did not achieve its goals.
- In response to the Ukrainian terrorist attacks, the Russian Armed Forces will continue and intensify strikes with high-precision weapons against military targets in Kiev.
